Meet the Partners
Partner: Richard Punturo, a practicing CPA and CFP, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University with a degree in Accounting. He is a partner in the accounting and consulting firm of Bernstein and Punturo, LLP.
He is also the principal of a full service financial planning company, Punturo Financial Services, Inc. His work at Bernstein and Punturo, LLP is primarily focused on small to medium sized businesses. In addition, his duties include tax planning, preparation of individual and business tax return, financial statement preparation and analysis and full service financial planning services.
His clients include a broad range of industries and professions, including but not limited to Health Care Professionals, Real Estate Professionals, Restaurants, Catering Halls, Attorneys, Wholesale Distributors, Retail Operations and Freight Forwarders.
Prior to becoming partner at Bernstein & Punturo, LLP was a Chief Financial Officer of an international sportswear company. Prior to that Mr. Punturo was Tax director and International controller at Calvin Klein Inc., a well-known clothing manufacturer and an Accounting Supervisor at the CPA firm of PriceWaterhouse & Co.
He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Planning Association and the Network of Accountants.
Partner: Jeffrey Bernstein is a practicing CPA and a partner in the accounting and consulting firm of Bernstein and Punturo, LLP. His background is enriched having worked for a large international as well as a small CPA firm. He also served for a number of years as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service.
His clientele is well diversified, however he draws a wealth of knowledge working with Medical Professionals, Restaurants, Catering Halls, Retail Establishments, Attorneys, Real Estate professionals as well as individual clients.
His credentials include Membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Network of Accountants, where he served as the president for a number of years. In addition he served as a Peer reviewer for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
